Examsoft Examplify
If you are new to Examplify, please review the Getting Started videos here.
Windows computers must be running Windows 10 (1909 or higher).
Mac computers must be running MacOS 10.14 or higher.
Tablet devices, including iPads, are not permitted for exams.
To upgrade Windows for free, go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
To upgrade your Mac, open your App Store. If the update is not visible in the Featured tab, download the latest version from https://www.apple.com/macos/how-to-upgrade/
Important: It may be necessary to disable your antivirus software during software install. For help disabling your antivirus, see the link at the bottom of this page. After installing Examplify, add an exception for the Examsoft folder, or disable your antivirus software prior to starting an exam.

To change your password: Visit our Examsoft portal, click on the forgot password link, enter your Charger ID and an email will be sent to your UAH email address with a reset link. Use that link to set your password to something that you will remember.
Respondus LockDown Browser (includes Monitor capability)
Used for NUR 220 and some Graduate exams.

Important: If you have previously used LockDown Browser at another institution, you will first need to uninstall that software before proceeding.

Elsevier HESI
Taken in the 2nd through 5th semesters of the Upper Division Undergraduate Program.
Sign-in to Evolve at https://evolve.elsevier.com/cs/
Click the HESI NG Resource to go to the exams.
If you do not see the HESI Assessment Next Generation course in your catalog , add the

Once you have registered for an exam, click on the exam name and make sure you can successfully download and launch the Secure Exam Player and pass the System Check.

We recommend using Google Chrome as your browser for HESI exams. It requires one change to pass the System Check and will work on Windows or Mac:
Click the 3 dots at the top right of the Chrome window and choose Settings
Search for Popups
Click on Content Settings (it will have a yellow tag with the word Popups)
Click on Popups (it will have a yellow tag)
Click the ADD across from Allow and enter [*.]elsevier.com, then click ADD
Remember to clear your browser's cookies and cache and disable antivirus software before attempting to start the exam.

Disabling antivirus prior to exams
HESI and Examplify exams can both have trouble launching due to Antivirus programs. We recommend temporarily disabling your antivirus prior to taking one of these exams.
